As you can see behind me, people have been incredibly generous with their donations. However, donated items like clothing, toiletries, household items and toys can actually slow relief efforts. It takes time and money to store, sort, clean and distribute donated items which diverts limited resources like time and volunteers
away from the most critical needs. Plus, it can cost thousands of dollars in
warehousing, cleaning, transportation and handling fees to store donated items.

Financial donations are the quickest and best way to help. They can be used for things that disaster
